Mog's Profile
My name is Mog. I am ::holds up 17 fingers:: this old. I live in Seattle. My address is...
Okay, if you don't know me too well I'm a very sarcastic, cynical person, although I like to have fun at times. My birthday is September 27, 1985... and I'm Asian, particularly Filipino. Yes I'm down with Asian pride. AzN PriDe! U KnO! My favorite food is either sushi, sukiyaki, or lumpia (I became addicted after being deprived for so long...), or... Mongolian Beef :)... or those really tasty Arby's Roast Beef sandwiches (YUM YUM). Actually I also enjoy seafood a lot, like shrimps or scallops or crab. My favorite color is now yellow, although it was blue for a long time. My favorite number is 2, and occasionally 3. My favorite utensil is the fork. And my favorite sex position is... well, I don't know if there's a name for it. BTW, I'm straight. So WILL ALL THOSE GUYS ONLINE WHO TRY TO CYBER-RAPE/SODOMIZE/HIT ON ME PLEASE REFRAIN FROM DOING SO OR ELSE I WILL BE FORCED TO CONSULT A THIRD PARTY, PERHAPS BUT NOT LIMITED TO, THE OFFENDING PARTY'S ISP. Thank you! |
A little on the name(s)
The name "Gilbey" is a spin off of my real-life first name. It's strange how I don't just call myself that name-- my real name, but it's just a strange online quirk that I have. I have no problem in other people addressing me as that name so if you're really curious you can go look at some entries in the friends section of my website. The name "Mog" was taken from the ever-so-famous RPG game, Final Fantasy 6. In English I pronounce it "mawg". In Japanese it rhymes somewhat with the word "rogue", with a small lilt to a "u" in the end (it's written Mogu.) My other name is Eatpikachu. I don't like Pikachu very much, so I made the screename. My final name is ToujiSuzuhara, from Evangelion. He's the kid who pilots the EVA-03, and for all you wannabe-Eva fans who haven't seen the series I won't spoil too much for you (or I just did... but it seems to be of common knowledge.) I actually don't use the latter two names often anymore but people still know me by them, so...
Computer
Our family owns a 233 mHz Power Mac G3 Minitower running MacOS 9.2.1, with an Epson Color Stylus 600 printer, and an UMAX scanner of some sort (forget the specs... and it recently broke, so now we have an Epson Perfection 1250, which uses USB, so we had to get a USB card too...) My monitor is a 17" Apple ColorSync. Anyways, this computer ought to last for 10 more years, probably even more. It's pretty neat... but can I say Apple Monitors really suck. I've been an avid Apple fan for over 10 years now though, and I hope I don't switch over anytime soon...
School
I attend Garfield High School, in Seattle, Washington state. It's a pretty big school. I know most of the seniors in my class, since most of us attended the same elementary and middle schools. There's a program here in Seattle, called APP... I was in it from 1st to 8th grade. It's for accelerated students... yeah.
Hobbies
I like anime to a small extent. I like drawing to an extent as well (I never draw for fun). I like to both play and listen to music; I can play both the piano and the alto saxophone, albeit not exceptionally well. I've been playing the piano since 1st grade (although I stopped taking lessons 2 years later) and I started playing the saxophone in 4th grade; I stopped playing in the beginning of 11th grade. As for listening, I like R&B, pop, and J-pop. And some rap too, I guess. It's mostly what's playing on the radio...
My favorite Western artists include Britney Spears, *NSYNC, 98 Degrees, Mandy Moore, the Backstreet Boys, that group Youth Asylum with that Korean guy (LOL), and Jessica Simpson. Just kidding. I like Lauryn Hill, Jay-Z, Bone Thugs, Busta Rhymes, Matchbox Twenty, Weezer, and One Voice. There are tons more, but I've noticed I enjoy a good portion of the aforementioned singers' songs. And I don't really enjoy most rap; I think the rap industry has gotten kinda, uhh... I'll also say I can't stand Eminem... well I like that one song "Stan" but that's it. As for J-pop/rock, I like Utada Hikaru, Namie Amuro, Glay, Mr. Children, Kiroro, Mai Kuraki, Ayumi Hamasaki, Chemistry, 19, and HAJIME CHITOSE! Anything but Morning Musume and any of their incarnations! (Jeffo likes them though.)
I also like gaming a lot; I have a PS2, a PSX, an SNES, and a Gameboy. My favorite series of games is probably Final Fantasy, but I guess I like Square games in general. More recent games I really enjoyed were Square games-- Legend of Mana and Final Fantasy IX (and FFX!). Most recently, I'm a big Dance Dance Revolution fan! It's too bad because not very many of my friends like it. I usually play whenever I'm in Southcenter or Gameworks, but recently I've been going to FFC and Illusionz... Working on webpages is another thing, although sometimes I consider it a burden. I also just like hanging out with friends, whether online or in real life.
I don't watch television much anymore, but the shows I watch now are always late-night. I liked to watch the Box because it was on 24/7 but sadly it died and was replaced with MTV2, which is okay but is too unpredictable in the music it plays. I enjoy David Letterman (I switched back to him after two years or so of finding Jay Leno predictable and not very funny), Conan O'Brien... and I love infomercials. My favorite infomercials include anything by Ronco, like the Showtime Cooker (Set it and... FORGET IT!). Other favorites include Nad's (it has a funny name), the stupid vacuum pack saving thing that looks like it doesn't work, the Red Devil cooking device, and the Smartnails one, but they don't play that one anymore. Oh and the Quick and Brite and the Food Dehydrator infomercials are classics. Also, I enjoy reality TV... I watched the original Survivor, I watch Real World, and now I like Fear Factor. My long-term goal is to be on Temptation Island. |
Webpages
I first got interested in webpage building in the summer of 1998. That long summer between 7th and 8th grade. I built my first site on this very same Tripod account, and then switched to a Geocities account, and finally back to this one. After four years of HTML familiarity, I'm still not that good, and I haven't honed my skills as well as other webmasters. But hey, whatever's functional...
That's probably more than you wanted to know about me. So.. check out the rest of the site.
